Introduction

The College of Engineering was established on 1^st August, merged from two former engineering colleges in National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences and National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. Currently, the college consists of 9 departments and 7 research centers;

All department provide four-year undergraduate programs for the Bachelor degree, and postgraduate programs for Master degree. The Ph.D. programs are available in most departments. For more details, please visit the departmental website. The curriculums are designed to align with industry needs and research innovation. All the degree-granting programs have passed the EAC accreditation from the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET). At present, there are about 200 full-time faculty members and 6,500 students.

Academic Information

Academic year

The academic year begins on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the following year. The first semester usually begins in mid- or late-September, and the second semester begins in mid- or late- February of the following year. Each semester consists of 18 weeks.

Length of study

1.Master programs must be completed within 1-4 years.

2.Ph.D. programs must be completed within 2-7 years.
